As a chapter of the national Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), we provide a collaborative community for educators to share resources, engage in professional development, and advocate for high-quality CS education.

CSTA Online PD

CSTA online professional development (PD) courses provide a flexible, deep learning experience that you can complete at your own pace. Course content includes meaningful and interactive activities focused on application to your CS classroom—you’ll do a lot more than just read and watch. Plus, you’ll experience asynchronous collaboration with other CS educators as you both give and get feedback and exchange ideas.

CS PD Week 2025 Success!

CS PD Week 2025 empowered K-12 educators across Illinois, significantly increasing attendance from 30 to over 80 participants. This free multi-day professional development provided valuable resources, curriculum, and 30 professional development hours, covering topics like AI literacy, coding, and robotics. Thanks to increased funding, the event expanded to six tracks and offered complimentary programs for students, administrators, and pre-service faculty, fostering a statewide network of computer science educators. Participants gained core competency in CS topics and teaching strategies, with 100% recommending the course and expressing interest in attending again.
